Serving God means serving people!
It is such a joy to come together every week as a small group and study Sacred Sabbath together. Sometimes it takes us a whole evening to discuss one chapter! This week we talked about an important biblical principle mentioned in chapter 7 of the book. You can find it in Matthew 7:12 Do for others what you want them to do for you: this is the meaning of the Law of Moses and of the teachings of the prophets. Chapter 7 talks about 'serving God'. Serving God does not mean that He needs anything from us. In helping and loving other people we serve Him. Jesus explained it quite simple there in Matthew 7:12. Just treat others the way you want to be treated, that is LOVE. That is the meaning of the Law. We decided to be extra alert this coming week in order to recognize opportunities to do for others what we want them to do for us.
