Bloggers@work: Lynn Mosher

This month I am celebrating my 10 year blogoversary with giveaways and a bloggers special: Bloggers@work.

Ten years of blogging wouldn't be possible without the support, encouragement, comments and inspiration of other bloggers. I love this community and that's why I'll be hosting some of my favorite bloggers and their WIP (work in progress). This week Lynn Mosher shares...

Lynn Mosher
What is your current WIP?

When I became ill in 2000, I heard the Lord whisper to me a few months later to write for Him. He led me to write a book on the Hebrew/Jewish betrothal process. Such a wealth of knowledge that we can apply to our lives.

However, it sits on the shelf, awaiting publication. So, while it waits, I have started working on another book. This one is about our journey through life, the paths or choices we make, and intermingled with a story/parable.

I work on it in between my twice weekly blogposts, my monthly writings for others sites, and a couple of other projects I’ve started. Right now, it’s trudging along very slowly.

Wherein lies your biggest struggle with this particular project?

My greatest struggle is just that…a struggle. I fight discouragement. I need to feel that it is coming together. However, it isn’t at the point of being cohesive. It’s a mixed bag of thoughts, story points, and scriptures. I know getting over this initial hump will allow me to feel less disjointed.

What do you see as the biggest blessing while working on this particular project?

Lynn's winter look
My first book was truly a blessing and an inspiration to me because the Lord showed me so many things in His Word.

The second book has been the culmination of so many ideas and situations of life the Lord has shown me. It’s always a blessing to be writing for Him. It is my calling, my passion; therefore, I write in obedience.

Do you have a word of wisdom for writers and their WIP?

Oh, my writer friends, keep going! Keep praying. Keep the passion alive. And when discouragement or writer’s block sets in, don’t give up. Do whatever it takes to overcome it. If you are writing under the calling of the Lord, obedience is your only priority. So, keep at it!

*This photo is my winter look. I get “mouse hands.” COLD hands while typing. The desk? My lap! My chair? The couch!

Blogoversary giveaway!

Yep! It's coming up: my 10 year blogoversary. Believe it or not, but I penned my first blog post in May 2006, not knowing where the adventure would lead me.

Not knowing that I would meet so many other bloggers and writers online, sharing the same passion and drive to be an encouraging and positive voice on the world wide web.

I have learned a lot from you all. I am thankful for your visits and comments on my blog posts and appreciate your likes and retweets. A blog will not survive without a faithful group of readers and it is time to thank you all again for following, reading and sharing.

Let's welcome the month of May and begin the celebration with a giveaway. As you may have read in previous posts my new book Spirit of Truth has just been released. The subtitle says: 'Finding certainty and standing firm in a troubled world'.

It is an encouraging message that will inspire and equip readers to stand up and say no to the negative voices of the world (lies, accusations, fear, worries, pain and defeat) and yes to the Truth of God's Word.

I will send you a signed copy of Spirit of Truth with some other goodies, wherever you live. You can enter this giveaway by:
  • leaving your comment and
  • sharing this post on your social media
Please do this before May 10th, 2016. I will draw a name and announce the winner on this blog. To further celebrate I will also host several bloggers@work...

Let's celebrate blogging!

Another milestone

Believe it or not, but I will turn 50 this week. Never thought that day would come so fast after my 40th birthday. It seems the last few years accelerated, but maybe that was because I've been busy ;)

Anyway, for one thing, this special day will be a good moment to give away some goodies. My upcoming book (My Neighbor's House) hasn't been released yet... so I'll throw in a classic: Sacred Sabbath, God's way to multiply our time and restore our joy. This book contains a serious message for America as well as lots of encouragement for the church as it is.

You don't have to sign up for anything, just leave a comment and a link to your own blog (a little promotion never hurts) and use ONE word to describe your blog!

I'll ask my husband to pick a winner, or two, and I'll send you the book when I come back from my trip to Israel. Happy blogging....
