Journal entry...

Last week I was going through some old journal entries, just for curiosity's sake. It encourages me to read my own writing, it tells the story of my faith journey. I found this section where I was just in awe about God...

"Lord, what exactly do I know about you? What do I really understand about everything You created? According to your Word stones can listen (Joshua 24:27) and trees can talk (Judges 9:9). That goes against everything I know to be the truth. Just because I never heard a tree (or a donkey for that matter) speak, doesn't mean it is impossible.

Everything is possible with God!

If I want to be like you, I have to change the way I think, from natural to spiritual, from limited to unlimited. With the help of the Holy Spirit I can do it. I must practice unlimited thinking every day!

Hi Marja - I love how you say you want to change your thinking. That is exactly what we should do because we humans limit God's power in us when we don't.
    God bless

  3. God is amazing...there is nothing He cannot do! Things He does are often beyond our imagination and understanding, but I am trusting Him.

    Blessings, Joan

  4. God is amazing indeed Joan. Not that I always understand Him, but that doesn't change the fact that awe is in place.
    Thanks!

Thank you, Marja, I SO needed this during this time. All that I thought I knew has been shaken up and now so many questions weigh me down. This reminds me of how limited our natural mind is and that our peace remains when we put our confidence in One who is unlimited and knows no impossibility. Thank you again.

Glad you drooled over the chili. hehehe If you lived next door I'd take you a bowl.
    Much love!

  7. Marcia, glad to hear this was a timely post for you, don't even know why I decided to post a journal entry, but I guess it pays to just do it when prompted :)

  10. Hi Marja -

When we stop measuring God against humanity and start measuring ourselves against Him, we get a glimmer of how powerful He is.

    Blessings,
    Susan :)

  13. It is interesting to think about where we've come from. I have a journal that I've been meaning to dig out and see where I was some years ago.

Unlimited thinking - I like that term! :)

Had to read this again today. I walk away with the words "practice unlimited thinking" echoing in my mind. I love it.

  17. Don't worry Lynn, we're both behind on reading/responding for several reasons. As long as I see your pretty face pop up here and there, I'm happy!
